Fado Singer

Lisbon

I am from Santarém, but I fell in love with Lisbon, listening to fado songs that told stories and described life in the traditional neighborhoods of the city. As soon as I finished high school, I moved lock, stock, and barrel to the capital, with many fados to sing and learn. I have a special bond with one of the hills, where the Penha de França district is located; and with the romantic neighborhood of Graça. I recommend that you visit the viewing point of Nossa Senhora do Monte, where you will find the best view of Lisbon, with the blessing of the chapel of the same name. I believe that this space is one of the best places to meditate, to go on a date and to enjoy the Castle, the Tagus and all the multicolored houses that characterize the city.
Another popular neighborhood, very special to me, is Alfama, for having sung for so many years in the Clube de Fado and for being a true labyrinth of alleyways and narrow streets, with clotheslines at the windows and the neighbors talking from their window sills. What's more, it is the cradle of the famous nights of Santo Antonio, a true neighborhood party, which inspires me to always carry Lisbon in my heart. And in my voice.
